ESSEGI designed, manufactured, delivered and installed two packaging lines at one of the most important chocolate producers in the World.
CUSTOMER’S REQUEST
The Belgian chocolate producer was looking for a manufacturer that would be able to supply transportation lines and automatic packaging machines for package chocolate tablets (milk, dark and white) of different sizes, into 10 kilogram polyethylene bags.
For this reason, they contacted AUSLOOS Verpakkingstechniek bv, our Benelux agent, with whom we developed the study of this important project.
From the beginning, the customer’s request was clear and precise: to have a customized solution with high performances, capable of producing an aesthetically appropriate packaging, and, above all, able to preserve the quality of the product inside at its best.
OUR PROPOSAL
After a long process, which took almost two years of time, made up of several meetings with the customer, studies from our engineers, products and film reels tests, adaptation to qualitative criteria and standards requested by the customer, followed by a careful planning phase, we finally reached a solution proposal, tailored on the customer, which would have been able to fullfill all requests and needs from it.
We proposed and manufactured a first complete line consisting of:
- silos unit for product entry;
- conveyor belts with metal detectors;
- big bag filling system;
- automatic vertical packaging machine (VFFS) model F1000SYNCRO/INOX, entirely made in stainless steel and complete with two electronic weighers with vibrating channels;
- bag exit conveyor belt with vibrator and upper presser to flatten the bag and obtain a squared bag for greater stability on the pallet.
In order to avoid the damage and contamination of the product due to the presence of air into the bags, a special system for sucking air from the bag has been installed on the packaging machine. In addition, dedicated software has been developed for the recognition by camera of any printing or labeling defects with automatic ejection of defective bags from the line.
DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION AT CUSTOMER’S PLANT
Once the transportation and packaging line was delivered, the ESSEGI specialized technicians, together with the ones of our agent, went to the customer’s plant in Belgium for the installation, start-up and testing of the system and the subsequent training for the staff.
FEEDBACK FROM THE CUSTOMER
The customer was satisfied with the study, design and manufacturing of the first line. The costumer then ordered a second line that we delivered and installed at another factory in Serbia.
